  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

Both P5 conferences released their schedules with built in flexibility and, within a matter of days, they shut their fall sports seasons down. The players feel some kind of way about it, as they should. They deserve a voice. But there are questions that need to be asked. What new information did you get that made you change your mind? Have you shared that information? Have you considered the future ramifications to your programs and are you prepared for the transfers?

There is something about this decision that doesn’t feel right, but it got worse yesterday. Yesterday afternoon, it was announced that all B1G intramural sports would be allowed to proceed as usual. Wait...so you’re not allowing the programs that generate the most amount of cash that props up every other sport to play out of “COVID-19 safety concerns” but you’ll permit intramural sports? Commissioner Kevin Warren is going to be on the hot seat after this week. What an epic cluster fuck.

The OP is decently written, and I’d really love to add something valuable to the conversation, but I have absolutely no fucking idea what this was about.

College football is trying to determine how to make it through the 2020 season and lose the least amount of money. They know it's a money losing season, just a question of how much. Big time college football is cash eating monster. It depends on donations and video revenue. Ticket sales is one of the smaller revenue streams. If they can keep games on tv, it might be worth it.

The health risk to players, athletic staff, or fans is a secondary consideration.

Sorry about the confusion, y’all. There are 5 “Power 5” conferences in college football. The ACC, Big 10 (B1G), Big 12 (Big XII), PAC-12 (Pacific Coast) and the SEC.

I’m curious to know the thoughts of these board members about cutting all fall sports for two of the major conferences (with major tv deals). There’s more at stake than just “cancelling” or “postponing”. Juniors and Seniors from the two P5 confernces entering the NFL draft will have their rankings hindered compared to the other three conferences. Furthermore, it opens the door for an exodus in transfers (i.e. Justin Fields) to leave their starting position and go to a school that will be playing.

Schools asking to play in the spring are asking their freshman and sophomores to play two full seasons in 11 months, which could cause injury or worse. Effectively, they could be setting up their players and their programs of two+ years of setbacks. Saturday Down South has a fantastic article earlier this week equating cancelling a season to the SMU “death penalty” in 1985.

I’m just interested in others opinions.

I only know about SEC because it’s shoved down your throat here. Don’t care about it though. I didn’t even watch the football games I cheered for as a cheerleader. Thank you for the clarification though.

Now, I was born and raised in the South, but, I admit, I hate grits, ain't fond of ribs, and can't stand sweetened iced tea. But to not care about good ol' SEC football? That's...that's sacrilege. Come, dear, I'll pray with you for forgiveness to the great quarterback in the sky.
